GET YOUR DIPLOMA!
Hello!!!!
I would like to show you a very simple document that can be very useful and will make our children feel proud to have participated in the English classroom, English course or whatever :)
On it you can add and write what you need: brief description of the course, their names and surname, pictures of them, prizes positions...
It's perfect in this term of the course, when finishing it. You can laminating it if you prefer. I usually organize a little party with snacks and soft drinks and then I hand out the diplomas. Just download it from HERE.
ENJOY IT!!

TRUTHS&LIES
3 TRUTHS AND 1 LIE
Hello everyone!
I just wanted to post a good idea to practice speaking skills.
As you will know, children love to speak about themselves, and we do as well ;) So, I usually carry out this lovely activity with my pupils. They can work in groups or in pairs. It's not very recommendable to work with the whole group because they will probably talk at the same time and will be difficult to listen them.
There I go...you have to explain to your pupils the next task: "You have to tell to your partner 3 truths and 1 lie, and they have to guess which is the lie"
You can tell some examples, for example:
- I like ice-creams
- I have a dog
-I have 3 cats
- I have 2 brothers, older than me.
-I am from The UK.
Tell them not to say a very big lie or it will be so easy.
I CAN SEE.....
Hello!!
here we are once again, this time to show you an activity I like to use to develop my pupils' writing skills. They love it because there are loads of pictures and images to describe and lots of colors and photos.
You can print it here and your pupils only have to write what they see. If you think they need a help, you can add a list of keywords or something similar. They can also work in pairs.
When I finish these type of activities, I love to encourage them to show their works to their classmates, so they can take advantage and practice their speaking skills at the same time.
Practice your reading while playing!
Hi once again :)
In order to give you some ideas for your pupils to practice their reading skills, I am going to talk you about one activity I usually carry out in my English classroom, with children from 5 to 7 years old.
It's a sort of a funny "gyncana" in which children have to read a number of notes that will be the clues to find a treasure that is hidden in the classroom. They will practice not only their reading skills but also their listening and speaking ones. I have prepared a sheet with "orders" to be given from one child to another.
First of all, you should make groups or couples of children, and get the classroom prepared before they arrive, hiding the clues and the treasure as well. In my case, the treasure was a homemade-trophy, but feel free to chose what you prefer. There will be the same number of notes than couples or groups, to be handed out. You only have to give them the first one. They will follow the instructions and will start the search.
Here you have a document with notes to be cut and handed out, but you can also modify them and re-write what you want.
SING AND WRITE!
Hi there!
Welcome to my new blog :) I would like to share with all of you my English activities for children.
I think it could be very useful and apart from learning a lot, we would be able to save time and share thoughts and ideas.
So...I'm going to start with one activity that I have created to develop listening skills. Your pupils will also be able to practice their writing :) I usually use it in Primary English classroom but it depends on your children's level.
I am sure that all you know the song "Twinkle Twinkle little star", so beautiful and relaxing. You only have to print the sheet I have uploaded, and that you can download from here,
, hand it out and then they can fill the gaps while listening the song, that you can find in Youtube, for example, here:
I hope you enjoy it! :)
